Three things in the Jubly-Umph office that just make sense!

Three things in the Jubly-Umph office that just make sense!

I recently celebrated my first anniversary of working at Jubly. There are plenty of reasons to enjoy working here (short commute to a beautiful town for work, working for a company that aligns with my values, being allowed to loudly swear when something goes wrong...) but here are three things in the Jubly-Umph office that definitely set it apart and make the office work for me:

Tasha recently found and installed this couch in an underused corner of the office. It has been brilliant for brainstorming and for getting away from the desk but still being in “work mode.” I like to start my morning here with a lap top, slowly transitioning from gremlin to human while I sip my coffee.
All dogs are welcome at Jubly! The dogs give us a great reason to have a walking meeting in the middle of the day and get out in the fresh air. I bring Bertram (the dog on the couch in the first picture), but if you don’t have a dog, you can always borrow one of Tasha’s - she has two!
I have a tendency to leave for work in a hurry, and extra layers are often left on my dining table, instead of being put in my bag or even on my person. Also, despite being fairly close together, the temperature can be as much as 5 degrees warmer in my hometown than at work. Fortunately, I can always grab one of the jackets still hanging around from past photoshoots, and inclusive casting of models means there’s always something that fits me.

We’re in the middle of re-arranging the office right now (to be honest, we are often in the middle of rearranging the office). Does anyone have any advice or suggestions for office set-up?  What do you like about your workspace, or what is on your wishlist? What did you think would work, but really didn’t, and what surprised you by how good it was? Please let me know by commenting below!

(In the interests of balance, I’m also going to do a “Three things that DON’T make sense” post soon, don’t miss it!)

I need a peg board, a pin board and a magnetic white board…

And somewhere cool to display my Jubbly pins!
